Technology has forced me out of my hobby.

There're so many things I used to take for granted, but with the invention of new and improved technology some things are now becoming obsolete. Video taping of games are the new norm and we all have to keep current and trendy. So this is my final afterthoughts blog post as now everyone will have access to the video and can formulate personal opinion without any interference.

Being plausible can also be interpreted as being controversial.... either way it's a matter of opinion. For those who are not familiar with the game of cricket, let me enlighten you all. The West Indies team dominated from the 70s to 80s for ten years straight they won all there was to be won. In the process producing world class bowlers, batsmen, fielders and boast the two best wricket keeper batsman still to this day in the world.

By now I am assuming that everyone must be wondering what is Presley alluding to. Two of those gentleman authour a book called, God's opening for a team of gods. In the book they spoke about team unification but said, true success and victory comes from the  pantheon of impressive bonds formed between teammates while playing in actual games.

Some onlookers might say that Woodbridge Strikers Boys against Aurora didn't perform great, lacked effort and did not have a killer instinct when they had the team back peddling. In addition, the opposing team was inferior.... guessing from their records. While all those ideas could be utterly correct,  I don't endorsed entirely and will try as best to explain reason for; by using the excerpt from the book.

The parent of the brothers on Aurora's team said that the penalty could not have come at a better time as their team was chasing the ball because of how fluid Strikers were passing it around. Did the penalty deflated our boys momentum....did it stop the rhythm and flow or were they just left confused as to exactly what happened and how.

From all indications everyone on the field was looking around but no one took the leadership role to quickly discuss the what and how and implement preventative measures. Luckily they didn't get any other opportunity because there was no reoccurrence of said happenings.

This is a game I honestly wished was video taped, because it would be evident that Strikers had more possession, more shots towards goal and forced more saves from opposition keeper.  Along with more crosses  into the opponent's penalty area,  plus winning more free kicks called against the opposition.  According to this information it should have been a comprehensive win, so what went wrong.

These are my reasons for the demise of dropping two points but I will be bold and direct in my exposition:
It could just be an off game.
Failure to convert the chances created.
Poor first touch resulting in multiple touches.
Disruption of flow by being off-side far too frequently.
Against good defensive unit weaknesses exposed.
Using the point from book, lack of pantheon of impressive bonds being formed between teammates while playing in actual games.
Simply put not enough duo combination.
Calling out of players by players in the game affects moral and confidence.
Not knowing when to drop off or push up.
Was it a formation issue.
Lack of substitution because of injuries.

All of these points could be accurate and at the same time inaccurate. However, there needs to be some form of reassessment done on the Woodbridge Strikers Boys 05 team for they can look so dominating and flawless at times and on the flip side look so ordinary and timid. Whatsoever, it is, has to be found and rectified for this team to be classified as an elite 05 boys team as I believe they are in my estimation.

It would be totally unfair on my part to identify possibilities of issues and not make recommendations for changes. Therefore, I would suggest a formation switch to a 4-3-3 just to see if it would make a difference especially in games where they play against a back four and holding midfielder.
Allow for players to utilize their strengths more.
Probability of players switching position.
Sticking with the player who is in flow and making things happen in a game.

All of this being said it was one of the toughest draw/tied game for me after Strikers having so much opportunities. It is called the game of soccer with its unpredictable outcome, more so when it's not rigged or bet on at this stage...yet.

Assuming by now no one is taking any of these teams lightly or being unprepared because on any given day anyone of these teams can beat the other as observed from the OPDL website.

In conclusion, It would be greatly appreciated if views are shared it will only allow for the team to be better as the good points will be appreciated and who knows used by the coaching staff. As learned as they are they might miss something that a parent observed from watching in a different position.

I want to extend my sincerest of gratitude filled with humbleness to all who at times had diverted from personal schedule to drop a thoughtful response. Some of those responses truly served to encourage me as true testimonials. Furthermore, to the person who messaged me on Monday saying there's no "afterthoughts" just a blank page... It gave me a true feeling of being appreciated.
