THEY PARKED THE BUS, BUT STRIKERS FOUND FOUR KEYS

Burlington Youths arrived at the dome with a tailored plan to be implemented upon the referee blowing his whistle. Very frightening was their individual and collective goal celebration practice routine suggesting it might be seen publicly and often throughout the game.

Props must be given to the team's physio for having all 18 players available to the coaching staff, thereby inducing headache on the coaches in selecting their starting eleven.

The first three quarters was a game of parking the bus/playing defense by Jose Mourinho(Burlington Youths) against Pep Guardiola tick tock/ attacking soccer being played by the Woodbridge Strikers. Strangely enough it was far from being boring.

Even the heat and humidity Inside the dome could not prevent Strikers from stringing passes after passes together as if they were making a fishing net. One would need Sheldon from Big Bang Theory to break down the intricate angles through which the ball was played, just like putting thread through the eye of a needle. Agitation was beginning to creep into the Woodbridge Strikers supporting ranks...obvious from the shouts of let's go Strikers you can do it, only a matter of time.

Then came the fourth quarter that settled everyones nerves and got the cheering moms giving Chris(player) a standing ovation. Whatsoever was said by both coaches Chris and Joe worked to perfection. The tempo of play intensified by the play switching quicker and players running at speed into the opponent's penalty area creating havoc. Tremaine showing no ill effects of being away without practice netted a brace for his brother in hospital (Trevon).

It is such a disappointment that stats are not kept and wins recorded at this juncture in the OPDL.  Chris finally decided to score his first league goal and what a 25 yards beauty it was from a scintillating solo maneuver. Unfortunately, he nor no one will have anywhere to lookup score and see his name in the goalscoring column. Hence the reason Jordan didn't see the need to score. Notable mention to Fateh for putting in a brilliant performance especially in the holding midfielder role. Isaiah rounded off the scoring with a well placed shot from a perfectly weighted pass from Ethan. I am assuming that Burlington Youths are still awaiting the appropriate moment when to do their practice goal celebration.

All the Strikers showcased themselves while on the playing field. It is widely speculated that players coming up now into the game cannot think for themselves, hence the reason for lack of creativity, inspiration and decision making but when it is carried out often times it is curtailed or shut down. The obvious error are being eroded little by little in each game. Another clean sheet for Cristian,  I had to ask him if he actually played.

The Strikers supporting fans truly played their part in the game as the twelfth man. Well done Woodbridge Strikers U13 Boys on a impressive performance. ⚽ 聾
