From the parking lot cheers of goal could be heard.. . not knowing which team had scored I hurried my approach. Upon arrival at the field it became known that Tremaine had converted a "PK".

This game served as an ideal situation for some players who got their opportunity of starting in their prefered position because of rotation, injuries and absent players.

Not trying to infiltrate the minds of coach Chris and coach Joe, but I wonder if anyone of the new starters impressed enough to become a starter going forward.

Again I reiterate my personal sentiments that some teams are not worthy of playing in the OPDL; no disrespect intended to any kid on the opposite team. In my opinion, based upon Saturday's performance the Woodbridge Strikers U13 boys didn't exert 100 percent in the game.

It's no longer beneficial just to win if it's not competitive within the competition. Case in point, we have an excellent goalie in Cristian but if not tested, he will only become bored and disinterested. Furthermore, our boys are putting in the extra training and every shoulder challenge is not a foul play as assumed by the opponents parents.

Great to see Daniel back scoring goals and Ethan creating mayhem out on the flanks. Notable mention to Fateh and Nicholas who dictated for the midfield throughout the game.

Another win for the Strikers.

Firstly, let me extend congrats to coach Joe and coach Marco for the splendid job in the absence of coach Chris. Honestly, I don't know where to begin as it was highly entertaining and exciting in the same breath. The first quarter was totally Ethan's show, speed, quickness and deadly finishing only to be missed by mom Mavis. WHERE WAS THIS BEFORE ?

The weather condition was very conducive for soccer. Did it materialized into a brilliant game of soccer especially in Woodbridge Strikers favor ? Playing against TFC OPDL boys from rumors one also has to contend with the referee's decision...we have witnessed it first hand. The roar by Strikers is always a determining factor of their vibes if they are in for a good game and today's shout could be heard from far and wide. Strikers sent a verbal message before a ball was kicked or the blowing of the referees whistle. Even in warm up gave the impression of cohesion, professionalism and focus. TFC came out from kick off as a rocket fired into space trying as best as possible in stopping Woodbridge Strikers Boys from playing out of defense. Brian is photographed in the above photo His excitement was hard to detect behind the humility and shyness of his personality. It took some convincing for Brian, Cristian's dad, to agree on doing a written article from a parent's view point. He was asked specifically to share from a parent's experience coming from a family that possesses a rich history in the sport. According to Brian, "Cristian's selection to travel to Southampton (UK) was a privilege to say the least. In addition to our regular Club training, Cristian attended additional goalkeeper training prior to departure, not knowing the level and caliber we were walking into.
