Firstly, let me extend congrats to coach Joe and coach Marco for the splendid job in the absence of coach Chris. Honestly, I don't know where to begin as it was highly entertaining and exciting in the same breath. The first quarter was totally Ethan's show, speed, quickness and deadly finishing only to be missed by mom Mavis. Coach Joe realized that the opponent's challenge was not forthcoming, so he decided to experiment with formation and players in different positions. Tayvin was slotted into the center forward position. Seeing him in a break away heading towards goal our contingent of supporters started cheering loudly for him to score. The moms went wild when he eventually did. While, dad Delroy tried to hide his excitement by keeping his head held down. Seeing how the boys are interchangeable between position tells me how versitile the squad is... for example Gianluca playing as a left defender. Our domination was evident based upon the score. WHERE WAS THIS BEFORE ?

The weather condition was very conducive for soccer. Did it materialized into a brilliant game of soccer especially in Woodbridge Strikers favor ? Playing against TFC OPDL boys from rumors one also has to contend with the referee's decision...we have witnessed it first hand. The roar by Strikers is always a determining factor of their vibes if they are in for a good game and today's shout could be heard from far and wide. Strikers sent a verbal message before a ball was kicked or the blowing of the referees whistle. Even in warm up gave the impression of cohesion, professionalism and focus. TFC came out from kick off as a rocket fired into space trying as best as possible in stopping Woodbridge Strikers Boys from playing out of defense. If that was their game plan Strikers quickly nullified it and laid it to rest. The saying goes don't give what you yourself cannot take. CONGRATULATIONS

The 2018 outdoor season is officially over. What's next on the agenda? Well before we move on let's reflect on the final game and the season overall. The Woodbridge Strikers OPDL 05 Boys redeemed themselves in their Saturday's game (final game of the season) in respect to Wednesday night performance. London Whitecaps came with full conviction and commitment not to lose to the Strikers again. Their resilience could not prevent them from loosing twice to Strikers. As Woodbridges  strike partnership of Tremaine and Ethan proved too lethal with both netting a goal in securing the win. Yes it was a win but not as convincing as the win over said opponents in London. Passes were off and players running into space were erratic plus our corner kick drills were totally discombobulated.
